Sales Executive at Bloom

Job Description

The Role

We are looking to hire an all-star senior sales executive with excellent sales and communication skills, who can persuasively present Bloom’s product offerings to high-level executives in lending and financial institutions. You will report to the head of business development and work closely with members of the product and marketing teams to develop growth strategies, prepare proposals and collateral materials, and share customer feedback and successes. As an early member of the sales team at a growing startup, you will have the opportunity to shape the sales process, participate in strategic decisions and help develop a sales culture.

-Generate qualified new business opportunities with mid-to-large enterprise clients from the banking and financial sector.

-Manage the sales cycle from qualification to close, including negotiations of legal and financial agreements such as NDAs, MSAs, etc.

-Manage the pipeline using CRM tools to support sales targets.

-Partner cross-functionally with business development, product, marketing, customer success to create and refine compelling value propositions and sales collateral.

-Develop a deep understanding of Bloom products and underlying technology and our customers’ needs.

-Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.


-5+ years of direct SaaS sales experience with a proven track record of negotiating, structuring and executing complex agreements.

-Consistent quota overachievement preferred

-Strong knowledge and experience in retail banking, consumer lending, credit card originations and/or digital payment transactions.

-Ability to work independently and with a team to build your book of business.

-Ability to think creatively about applying data and technology to tackle business problems.

-Outstanding ability communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to C-level executives.

-Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

-Extremely detail-oriented

-Ability to travel

Preferred Skills & Experience

-Experience in a fast-growth, startup environment
-Salesforce CRM experience preferred.
-Proficiency in Google Docs
-Experience selling into retail banks, credit unions and non-bank lenders
